Waterbutts

I love this - waterbutts in the shape of, well, butts. Because living green was much more fun when it was a slap in the face of the establishment, not just the latest middle class trend. Personally, I'd like one in the shape of the Manneken Pis.

I can just imagine what my 'posh' neighbours would think of one of these in my garden! Mmmmm.....
Love your blog, I have put a link to it on mine. I particularly look forward to hearing more about bees.

I think annoying the posh neighbours is the whole point. If you didn't have posh neighbours to be offended, I can't see why you'd bother getting one of these.

"The establishment" always had vegetable gardens, didn't they? They had gardeners to look after them after all, who used the old, green, methods.

I rather like the 'butt butt' (though I have reused barrels and wouldn't buy one), but my older 'working class' friends would be quite shocked. Younger, trendier ones, of whatever social type, would think it rather fun.

ouch! sorry to hear you are still black & blue re the bee stings. The problem I have with annoying the neighbours is I need them on side a bit - for when I get my hens. She was petrified of them and very relieved when I 'retired' them a couple of years ago, she doesn't know I am getting some more!
